Sheriff Keith Slape and the Newton County Sheriff's Office sponsored a Drug Presentation at the Mt. Judea School on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012. Students 7 through 12 were shown a slide presentation about the effects of methamphetamine and the dangers of illegal prescription drugs by Chief Deputy Jarred Morgan. After the presentation Chief Deputy Morgan answered numerous questions from students about illegal drugs and law enforcement in general.
